Dmitriy Kobitskiy: IPA CIS Spring Session to Honor 80th Anniversary of Victory

At a briefing held at Sputnik’s press center in Tashkent, Secretary General of the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly Council Dmitriy Kobitskiy highlighted upcoming events of the IPA CIS spring session and emphasized that many of them will be dedicated to the 80^th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War.

The event was attended by member of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan Erkin Zahidov. Participants reflected on key proposals from the 150^th Inter-Parliamentary Union Assembly and their role in strengthening parliamentary diplomacy.

Dmitriy Kobitskiy highlighted a major event of the spring session — an international conference “Legislative regulation of measures to counter the use of artificial intelligence and other new technologies for terrorist activities”  . The Assembly organize the event in partnership with the UN Office of Counter-Terrorism and the International Committee of the Red Cross. Experts will discuss strategies to prevent the misuse of AI and its potential in counter-terrorism operations.
