Dmitriy Kobitskiy and Tatiana Moskalkova Discussed Cooperation in Field of Human Rights Protection in CIS

A meeting between Secretary General of the IPA CIS Council Dmitriy Kobitskiy and Chair of the Commission of the Commonwealth of Independent States on Human Rights, Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation Tatiana Moskalkova took place at the Tavricheskiy Palace.
The parties discussed promising areas of cooperation in the field of human rights protection across the Commonwealth, agreed to exchange information in this area, and expressed readiness for active collaboration.
Dmitriy Kobitskiy thanked Tatiana Moskalkova for participating in the meeting of the IPA CIS Permanent Commission on Social Policy and Human Rights and for her substantial contribution to the drafting of the new version of the Model Law on the Status of the Commissioner for Human Rights. The Secretary General also informed her about upcoming IPA CIS events scheduled for 2025.
Tatiana Moskalkova spoke about the key focus areas of her work, including cooperation among human rights commissioners in CIS countries. She expressed her readiness to provide expert support for the preparation of the updated version of the Concept of the Common Migration Area of the CIS Member Nations, which is currently being developed by the IPA CIS Working Group.
The parties expressed mutual interest in continuing the dialogue.
Deputy Head of the IPA CIS Council Secretariat Alexey Dolzhikov also took part in the meeting.
