Dunyagozel Gulmanova and Dmitriy Kobitskiy Discuss Preparations for IPA CIS Autumn Session

The IPA CIS delegation headed by Secretary General of the IPA CIS Council Dmitriy Kobitskiy is visiting Turkmenistan.

A meeting was held with Chairperson of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan Dunyagozel Gulmanova to discuss preparations for the upcoming events of the Interparliamentary Assembly of the CIS.

Dmitriy Kobitskiy presented the programme of the IPA CIS autumn session, which will be held in Turkmenistan for the first time in the history of the Assembly. The meeting of the heads of the Commonwealth parliaments and the 61^th plenary session of the IPA CIS are scheduled for 19–20 November 2026. The fact that the autumn session will be held in Turkmenistan for the first time, as well as the dates of the events, are also reflected in the recent English-language IPA CIS materials.  

On 7 October 2026, Turkmenistan will host the Second International Conference “Universal Health Coverage and the Sustainable Development Goals”, organised by the IPA CIS, the Mejlis of Turkmenistan and the WHO Regional Office for Europe.

The parties discussed organisational aspects of the upcoming events and other topical issues of cooperation.

Dunyagozel Gulmanova expressed confidence that the IPA CIS events in Turkmenistan would be held at a high level and contribute to the development of interparliamentary dialogue in the region.
