IPA CIS Representatives Take Part in CIS Economic Council Meeting and International Forum

Representatives of the Interparliamentary Assembly of the CIS (IPA CIS) took part in the 109th meeting of the CIS Economic Council and the International Economic Forum of the CIS Member States.

The events brought together officials, experts and representatives of sectoral cooperation bodies from across the Commonwealth. During the Economic Council meeting, participants exchanged views on key issues of economic cooperation, including regulatory development, interstate programmes and initiatives in industry, agriculture, consumer protection, digital transformation and the peaceful use of nuclear energy. Decisions aimed at strengthening economic integration within the CIS were adopted following the discussions.

The International Economic Forum, held at the World Trade Center and dedicated to the 35th anniversary of the CIS, featured panel discussions and round tables on industrial cooperation, digital technologies, cross-border investments, payment systems, artificial intelligence, healthcare, ecology and cultural cooperation.

The plenary session, titled “35 Years of the CIS: Developing Greater Eurasian Partnership,” summarized the forum’s key outcomes and future integration priorities.

Deputy Head of the IPA CIS Council Secretariat, Aleksey Dolzhikov and Secretary of the IPA CIS Permanent Commission on Economics and Finance, Roman Levin took part in the events.
