Interparliamentary Assembly of CIS Hold graduation Thesis Competition on Model Lawmaking

In 2026, the Secretariat of the Council of the Interparliamentary Assembly of the CIS is holding a competition of diploma student projects devoted to model lawmaking.
The competition is open to final-year university students majoring in Law. Participants will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of legal cooperation within the Commonwealth.
The purpose of the competition is to support talented student youth.
Graduation qualification works written on topics proposed by the Secretariat of the Council of the IPA CIS will be accepted for consideration.
The best works will be selected in the following categories:
• model lawmaking activity in the field of education and science;
• model lawmaking activity in the field of social policy;
• model lawmaking activity in the field of human rights and mechanisms for their implementation;
• model lawmaking activity in the field of studying the experience of state-building and local self-government;
• model lawmaking activity in the field of natural resources and ecology;
• model lawmaking activity in the field of economy and finance;
• model lawmaking activity in the field of defense and security;
• model lawmaking activity in the field of culture;
• model lawmaking activity in the field of mass media;
• model lawmaking activity in the field of tourism and sports;
• model lawmaking activity in the legal sphere.

The competition of diploma student projects devoted to model lawmaking of the IPA CIS is being held for the second time. The winners of the first competition were awarded at the international scientific and educational congress “The Intellectual Code of the Commonwealth.” The event took place on 30–31 October 2025 at the Tavricheskiy Palace.
