Sergey Khomenko Appointed to Position of Plenipotentiary Representative of National Assembly of Republic of Belarus at IPA CIS

The Parliament of the Republic of Belarus approved the candidacy of Sergey Khomenko for the position of Deputy Secretary General of the IPA CIS Council – Plenipotentiary Representative of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus.

Sergey Khomenko was born in 1966.

He graduated from the Sergo Ordzhonikidze Higher Military Command Red Banner School of the USSR Ministry of Internal Affairs named after Kirov and the Frunze Military Academy.

From 2014 to 2019, he served as the Head of the Security Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Belarus.

In 2019, he was appointed Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, and in 2021, he was appointed Minister of Justice.

Since 2024, he has served as Deputy Chair of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus.

He was elected as a deputy of the Minsk City Council of Deputies. He is a delegate to the Seventh All-Belarusian People’s Assembly.

He holds the ranks of Major General and Major General of the Militia.
