Dmitriy Kobitskiy Attended Sitting of House of Representatives of National Assembly of Republic of Belarus

Secretary General of the Council of the Interparliamentary Assembly of the CIS Dmitriy Kobitskiy took part in a sitting of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, where he presented the IPA CIS medal “For Strengthening Parliamentary Cooperation” to its Speaker Igor Sergeenko. The award was conferred pursuant to a decision of the IPA CIS Council.
During the sitting, Dmitriy Kobitskiy also presented certificates of honour to a number of members of the House of Representatives and staff of its Secretariat in recognition of their active contribution to the work of the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly and their efforts to strengthen friendship among the peoples of the Commonwealth Member States.
The Secretary General expressed his appreciation to the Belarusian parliamentarians for their active legislative work and for their participation in IPA CIS international election observation missions.
Later that day, Igor Sergeenko and Dmitriy Kobitskiy held a bilateral meeting to discuss current issues of interparliamentary cooperation.
The events were also attended by Deputy Secretary General of the IPA CIS Council – Plenipotentiary Representative of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus Sergey Khomenko.
