Action Plan in Field of Humanitarian Cooperation Within Commonwealth of Independent States Finalized

Today, at the headquarters of the Commonwealth of Independent States in Minsk, the final meeting of the expert group on refining the draft Action Priority Plan in the field of humanitarian cooperation of the CIS for the period 2026–2028 was held.
The draft of the Action Plan was developed following a decision of the Council for Humanitarian Cooperation of the CIS and the Board of the Interstate Fund for Humanitarian Cooperation of the CIS.
Its purpose is to coordinate multilateral cooperation among CIS Member Nations in the areas of education, culture, information and mass communications, publishing and printing, sports and healthy lifestyles, tourism, and youth engagement.
The draft consists of nine sections and includes more than 250 activities across various areas of interstate humanitarian cooperation. It features international-level events as well as national and bilateral initiatives, with the mandatory participation of representatives from other CIS countries.
Under the auspices of the Interparliamentary Assembly of Member Nations of the CIS, 21 events are planned, including the Nevsky International Ecological Congress, the “Commonwealth of Fashion” Forum, the cultural and educational forum “Children of the Commonwealth,” the scientific and educational congress “Intellectual Code of the Commonwealth,” the forum “Sustainable Development of Mountain Territories,” the conference “Russian Language as the Basis of Integration Dialogue in the CIS Region,” the development of model laws in the field of humanitarian cooperation and others.
Representing the IPA CIS at the meeting were: a representative of the Secretariat of IPA CIS Council in the CIS Executive Committee, Viktor Kogut, Secretary of the IPA CIS Permanent Commission on Science and Education, Tatyana Baranova, Secretary of the IPA CIS Permanent Commission on Culture, Information, Tourism, and Sports, Igor Minin.
