Dmitriy Kobitskiy Noted Contribution of Moscow State Linguistic University to Formation of Common Educational Space in CIS

A scientific and practical conference “Basic Organizations of the CIS Member Nations in the Humanitarian Sphere: Best Practices and Prospects for Cooperation” is being held at the Moscow State Linguistic University (МSLU), which is celebrating its 25th anniversary as a Basic Organization for Languages and Cultures of the Commonwealth countries.
Secretary General of the Interparliamentary Assembly of the CIS Council Dmitriy Kobitskiy sent a greeting to the participants of the conference and noted that the activities of the MSLU are diverse and include training specialists in the languages of the Commonwealth nations, implementing educational programs, enhancing the qualifications of scientific and pedagogical personnel, conducting seminars, and developing educational-methodological materials.
“The Consortium of Humanitarian Universities of the SCO, the Inter-University Council on Spiritual Education, centers for the languages and cultures of the CIS, and educational-methodological complexes for the state languages of the Commonwealth countries have been established,” noted Head of the Expert and Analytical Department of the IPA CIS Council Secretariat Denis Zhuk.
Moreover, the Secretary General thanked MSLU for supporting the initiative to hold the second international conference “The Russian Language as a Basis for Integration Dialogue in the CIS” this October and for its willingness to act as a co-organizer.
