Use of electronic justice in the work of the CIS Economic Court and national courts discussed in Minsk

An international symposium Use of E-justice in the Work of the CIS Economic Court and National Courts took place in the CIS Executive Committee.
The purpose of the Conference was to develop recommendations for the work of the Economic Court in the ad hoc format.
First Deputy Chair of the CIS Executive Committee – CIS Executive Secretary Victor Guminskiy welcomed the participants of the Conference.
Chairperson of the CIS Economic Court Lyudmila Kamenkova made a presentation on the use of e-justice tools in the work of the CIS Economic Court. Judge of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Kazakhstan Amangeldy Sarsenbayev shared experience of the Republic of Kazakhstan in using e-justice. Director of the National Center for Legislation and Legal Studies of the Republic of Belarus Vadim Ipatov spoke about the forward-looking international practice of using electronic justice in European countries.
The Conference featured a discussion of the issues related to the interaction of the CIS Economic Court with national supreme courts in the field of e-justice.
Speeches and discussions focused on the prospects of developing online dispute resolution procedures in international and national legal proceedings, procedural and legal problems related to the use of information and communication technologies in the civil process.
The Conference participants expressed opinion that the development of e-justice was a natural process of the current development of the CIS countries.
The representative of the IPA CIS Council Secretariat Yury Andreyev attended the Conference on behalf of the IPA CIS.
