Best Designers of CIS Countries to Receive Awards During Creative Economy Days

As part of the preparations for the Creative Economy Days, which will take place in St Petersburg on 28–30 October 2026, a competition for fashion designers has been announced. The winning collection will be presented during the Russian Couturiers Fashion Show on 29 October.

The main requirement for participation is a completed collection consisting of 15 looks. Applications are being accepted through the official website of the Commonwealth of Fashion project until 1 October 2026. The winners of the competition will be granted free participation in the Russian Designers Fashion Show on 29 October.

Participants in the project may also become recipients of a special award recognising fashion designers, heads of manufacturing enterprises, students and employees of educational institutions engaged in the creation of clothing, footwear and accessories, as well as in the development of modern creative industries.

Applications for the award are being accepted through the official website of the Commonwealth of Fashion project, https://cis-fashion.ru/awards, until 30 September 2026. The competition will run from 20 July to 5 October 2026, after which an expert jury will select the winners.

Awards will be presented in six main categories:

• Innovative Manufacturing;
• Designer of the Year;
• Educational Project in Light Industry and Fashion;
• Healthy Fashion Project;
• Employer in Light Industry;
• Best Student Project.

Special awards will also be presented in the following categories:

• Contribution to the Development of International Cooperation;
• Best Social Project in Light Industry and Creative Industries.

Each category has its own evaluation criteria. For example, in selecting the winner of the Designer of the Year category, the jury will assess the originality and artistic value of the collection, the relevance of its design solutions, compliance with current market trends, the quality of execution, and the level of attention to detail.

The primary objective of the awards is to support professionals shaping the future of the fashion and light industry sectors, introducing innovative approaches, creating competitive products, and contributing to the development of the creative economy across the CIS.

Particular attention will be given to emerging talents. The awards are intended to help unlock their creative potential, promote contemporary design, encourage the exchange of experience, and strengthen professional cooperation among representatives of different countries.

The Creative Economy Days will bring together representatives of business, public authorities, educational institutions, development organisations, and the professional community. The event will provide a platform for discussing the future development of creative industries, sharing best practices, and implementing joint projects.
