Common CIS Migration Space to be Discussed at St. Petersburg International Labour Forum

The headquarters of the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly hosted a working meeting on the preparation of the IX St. Petersburg International Labour Forum. The event will be held on 2-4 April 2025. The meeting discussed the formation of the business program and organizational issues.
The meeting was attended by Chair of the St. Petersburg Committee for Labour and Employment Vasiliy Ponidelko and Chair of the Committee on Interethnic Relations and Implementation of Migration Policy in St. Petersburg Oleg Kapitanov.
The forum will include a meeting of the IPA CIS Permanent Commission on Social Policy and Human Rights and a meeting of the working group to draft a new edition of the Concept of the Common Migration Space of the CIS countries.
The focus of the forum 2025: personnel for the new economy, the problem of staff shortage, the creation of systems for staffing organizations. Other topics include increasing labor productivity, qualitative modernization of the system of professional training of specialists, regulation of labour migration, labour protection.
St. Petersburg International Labour Forum is the largest discussion platform in the field of labour relations, where the whole range of issues of labour market and economy, the need to create systems of personnel support and exchange of the best HR-practices and methods, modernization of the state employment service, the formation of a common labour market of the CIS countries is considered.
The Forum brings together representatives of the professional community, government, business, education and trade unions. Forum events are held in the formats of plenary sessions, meetings, conferences, panel discussions, sections, round tables, poster sessions, master classes.
