Fifth International Congress Road Safety for the Safety of Life (co-organized by the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly)

Parliamentarians, analysts and experts will discuss the youth challenge in road safety, including the high rate of road-related injuries. The Congress is expected to come out with action-oriented proposals to address this challenge by mobilizing the youth-led civic activism.

On 25 September the Congress will kick off with a thematic exposition on the grounds of Lenexpo followed by presentations and roundtables discussions on improving legal frameworks relating to road safety based on effective and relevant international instruments, establish public priorities based on latest research and profile road-related incidents in the 14-30 and 25-30 age brackets, provide best practices of mainstreaming RS education into the operations of LEAs and NGOs.

The opening ceremony and plenaries will take place on 26 September in the Tavricheskiy Palace.

The Congress is intended to be a forum of government officials, community leaders, sectoral and other organizations related to RS, education and health facilities, research centers, business communities, NGOs, the media and youth-lead communities.
