Alen Simonyan to Head IPA CIS Observer Team at Parliamentary Elections in Kyrgyzstan

In accordance with a decree of the IPA CIS Council Chairperson, Speaker of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Valentina Matvienko, Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia Alen Simonyan was appointed the Coordinator of the IPA CIS Observer Team at the elections to the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic.
On 6-9 September, the IPA CIS observers from among the IPA CIS Council Secretariat staff members and experts of the International Institute for Monitoring Democracy Development (IIMDD IPA CIS) performed long-term monitoring of parliamentary elections in the cities of Osh and Bishkek.
The parliamentary elections are scheduled for 4 October 2020.
