IPA CIS Observers Discussed Holding Constitutional Referendum in Belarus with Natalia Kochanova

The IPA CIS international observers headed by Observer Team Coordinator, Deputy Speaker of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Konstantin Kosachev met with Speaker of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus Natalia Kochanova. The meeting took place as part of the monitoring of the republican referendum on the amendments and additions to the Constitution of the Republic of Belarus, scheduled for 27 February 2022.
The parties discussed the background for making constitutional amendments, preparations for voting and participation of international observers in the monitoring of elections.
