On 26 February 2022, the IPA CIS observers at the republican referendum on amendments and additions to the Constitution of the Republic of Belarus, headed by Deputy Speaker of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Konstantin Kosachev, held meeting with Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus Valery Mitskevich.

The IPA CIS observers noted the great work done in Belarus in preparation for the constitutional referendum. In turn, Valery Mitskevich expressed hope that the assessments of the IPA CIS Observer Team would be objective, and the conclusion would be traditionally balanced and impartial.
