Leonid Slutskiy approved the action plan of long-term observation of the preparation to the presidential election in Azerbaijan

Leonid Slutskiy, the IPA CIS Coordinator of the presidential election in Azerbaijan and a member of the State Douma, approved the action plan of long-term observation of the preparation to the upcoming election.
The plan includes analysis of the election legislation of Azerbaijan, monitoring the media, preparing background reference materials on the election, observing the lection campaign and work of election commissions, etc.
In line with the approved plan, the IIMDP IPA CIS Expert Group has started its work to provide a legal opinion on the compliance of Azerbaijani laws regulating presidential elections with the international standards of free and democratic elections.
