Chingiz Aitmatov Commemoration Evening Held in St. Petersburg

On the eve of the birthday of outstanding Kyrgyz writer Chingiz Aitmatov, an evening in his memory was held at the Parliamentary Center of the IPA CIS.
The event was attended by Deputy Secretary General of the IPA CIS Council, Plenipotentiary Representative of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic Nurbek Satvaldiev, Deputy Head of the IPA CIS Council Secretariat – IPA CIS IIMDD Director Ivan Mushket, Rector of Russian State Hydrometeorological University Valeriy Mikheev, the representatives of the Kyrgyz diaspora in St. Petersburg, headed by Kochkorbay Kutunaev, the representatives of youth civil society movement “Kyrgyz Union”.
Nurbek Satvaldiev delivered the welcoming speeches to the Kyrgyz people from Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic Nurlanbek Shakiev and IPA CIS Council Secretary General Dmitriy Kobitskiy.
