Specialists Considered Prospects of Organized Forms of Labour Migration

The state and prospects of organized forms of labour migration, as well as assistance of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Russia, were discussed today at a roundtable co-organized by the Chamber and the union of experts and consultants in the field of labour migration International Alliance “Labour Migration”.

The discussion brought together heads of regional chambers of commerce and industry, representatives of industry associations of entrepreneurs and relevant councils for professional qualifications, international organizations in the field of migration, representatives of the Eurasian Economic Commission, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, as well as leading experts in the field of migration.

Secretary of the IPA CIS Permanent Commission on Social Policy and Human Rights Evgenia Vladimirova told about the legal regulation of organized labour migration across the CIS. She noted that the IPA CIS had adopted more than 20 model laws and documents in the field of migration.

Evgenia Vladimirova also informed the participants that on the initiative of the Belarusian MPs the IPA CIS was currently considering the drafting of the recommendations on organized recruitment and preferences for employers attracting labour migrants in an organized manner.
