Special Cancellation of Commemorative Postage Stamp Dedicated to 30th Anniversary of CIS Interparliamentary Assembly Took Place

Chairperson of the IPA CIS Council, Speaker of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Valentina Matvienko and Secretary General of the IPA CIS Council Dmitriy Kobitskiy took part in the ceremony of special cancellation of the commemorative postage stamp dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the IPA CIS.
Valentina Matvienko said that this ceremony was a memorable event and noted that the time had shown the relevance and credibility of the IPA CIS in the international arena. She also thanked everyone who participated in the creation of the stamp and expressed confidence that it would become one of the valuable exhibits in the collections of philatelists of Russia and other countries.
Secretary General of the IPA CIS Council Dmitriy Kobitskiy thanked MPs and everyone who took part in the implementation of the memorable symbol of joint efforts and active work aimed at legislation harmonization and strengthening interstate relations.
The ceremony was also attended by Deputy Speaker of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Konstantin Kosachev, Chair of the Committee of the Federation Council on International Affairs Grigory Karasin and First Deputy Chair of the Committee of the Federation Council on International Affairs Vladimir Dzhabarov.
