Tanzila Narbaeva and Aida Kasymalieva Discussed Protection of Rights and Interests of Women

On 17 June, Speaker of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan Tanzila Narbaeva met with Deputy Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic Aida Kasymalieva. At the meeting, the parties discussed the issues of protection of the rights and interests of women.
According to the press service of the Senate, Aida Kasymalieva highly appreciated the ongoing large-scale reforms in Uzbekistan, including on gender equality and the development of women's entrepreneurship.
The meeting participants also considered issues of strengthening inter-parliamentary cooperation for the development and strengthening of bilateral political, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian relations.
They also outlined the importance of coordinating actions and promoting joint initiatives within the framework of international organizations, including the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly.
