12 June – Russia Day

On 12 June 1990, the Congress of People's Deputies of the RSFSR and the Supreme Soviet of the RSFSR adopted the Declaration on State Sovereignty of the Russian Federation. Russia celebrates the Day of the Declaration on State Sovereignty of the Russian Federation, and in 2002 the name of the holiday was changed to Russia Day.

The President of the Russian Federation presents State awards in Kremlin on the occasion of the holiday.
