CIS Member Nations Celebrate New Year

This year the winter holidays in Azerbaijan last from 31December to 6 January. In Armenia official days off are 31 December and 1-7 January, in the Kyrgyz Republic non-working days are 1-7 January. Belarus and Moldova celebrate the New Year on 1-2 January, Kazakhstan celebrates the holiday on 1-4 January. In Tajikistan the festive day is 1 January. In Ukraine holidays begin on 29December and extend till 1 January. The winter holidays in Russia last from 1 to 8 January. In Uzbekistan the New Year is celebrated during the period from 31 December to 2 January.
