Russian and Kyrgyz Women Parliamentarians Strengthen Interaction on International Platforms

On 6 March, the First Russian-Kyrgyz Women’s Forum ”Dialogue of Women of Russia and Kyrgyzstan for the Future” took place in Moscow.

Opening the plenary session, Speaker of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, Chairperson of the IPA CIS Council Valentina Matvienko noted that parliamentary cooperation between the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation and the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic was based on a solid foundation.

Valentina Matvienko noted that the forum was another step for women’s communities to become closer to each other and exchange opinions, ideas and experience.

Deputy Speaker of the Federation Council Galina Karelova noted that Russian and Kyrgyz women parliamentarians successfully interacted at bilateral and international levels.
