Tanzila Narbaeva Participated in Discussion on Civil Society Development in Republic of Uzbekistan

On 8 February 2021, the International Conference “Message from the President –New Stage in Civil Society Development in Uzbekistan” took place in the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The MPs, senior officials of ministries, agencies and regional administrations, national and international experts, representatives of non-profit NGOs, other civil society institutions and the media attended the Conference.
Speaker of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan Tanzila Narbaeva stressed that in the message to the Oliy Majlis, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan paid great attention to the development of civil society, the role of the media, non-profit NGOs and civil society institutions. At the same time, the need to revise and improve the legislation regulating civil society development was noted.
According to the press service of the Senate, the Conference also considered various aspects of the involvement of the civil society institutions in the decision-making process.
