Third Eurasian Women's Forum to Be Held in-Person Using Videoconferences and Online Broadcasts

On 9 June 2021, Deputy Speaker of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Galina Karelova and Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation Olga Lyubimova discussed the holding and preparation of the business and cultural program of the Third Eurasian Women's Forum to be held in St. Petersburg on 13-15 October 2021.

The event was also attended by State Secretary – Deputy Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation Alla Manilova.

According to Galina Karelova, the Forum will be held in-person using modern formats such as videoconferences and online broadcasts. This will help to reach a wider audience and ensure its involvement in the work of the main platforms.

During the meeting, it was noted that the business program of the Forum would include plenary sessions, strategic and expert sessions with the participation of international organizations, and discussion platforms. On the margins of the Forum, exhibitions and interactive platforms presenting the achievements of Russian women in science and technology will be held.

The most important part of the Forum will be expert sessions with the participation of international organizations and associations, including the Women 20 (W20), the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), the World Bank, and the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC).

The meeting participants also discussed the issue of possible discussions at the Third Eurasian Women's Forum. In particular, it was proposed to address the development of creative industries and the role of women in cinema.
