CIS Council of Permanent Representatives Appointed Head of CIS Observer Mission at Parliamentary Elections in Kyrgyz Republic

On 25 August 2020, under the Presidency of Uzbekistan a regular meeting of the Council of the Permanent Representatives of the CIS Member Nations at the Statutory and Other Bodies of the Commonwealth took place via videoconferencing in the CIS Executive Committee in Minsk and Department of the CIS Executive Committee in Moscow (Russian Federation).

On behalf of the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly the event was attended by representative of the IPA CIS Council Secretariat at the CIS Executive Committee Igor Borovko.

The members of the CIS Council of Permanent Representatives agreed on the draft agenda of the regular meeting of the Council of the CIS Heads of Government to be held in Tashkent on 6 November. The agenda includes 17 issues concerning the development and strengthening of cooperation across the Commonwealth in a variety of different areas.

The meeting also discussed the issue of the Head of the CIS Observer Mission at the elections to the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic scheduled for 4 October 2020. The Mission will be headed by First Deputy Chairman of the CIS Executive Committee Viktor Guminskiy.

The next meeting of the Council of the Permanent Representatives of the CIS Member Nations at the Statutory and Other Bodies of the Commonwealth is to be held on 22 September.
