International Experts Discussed Issues of Ensuring Food Security

On 31 March 2021, a roundtable “Issues of Ensuring Food Security as an Element of Achieving SGD-2” was held under the auspices of the Information Center of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) at the Moscow State Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation (MGIMO).

The main objective of the event was to disseminate among the scientific, expert, pedagogical and student communities the full range of knowledge about the sustainable use of natural resources, ensuring the efficiency of the supply chain in international agribusiness and other aspects of promoting sustainable development.

Secretary of the IPA CIS Permanent Commission on Agrarian Policy, Natural Recourses and Ecology Natalia Amburtseva represented the IPA CIS Council Secretariat at the event and provided a report “Legislative Activity of the IPA CIS on Food Security”.

The meeting was also attended by professors and students of leading relevant universities of the Russian Federation, representatives of the Russian Academy of Sciences, public and international organizations.
