MPs Participate in St. Petersburg International Economic Forum

The 24th St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF-2021) takes place in St. Petersburg. The MPs from the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly actively participate in the events.

Today, Deputy Speaker of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, Deputy Chair of the Committee of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation on Foreign Affairs Konstantin Kosachev spoke at the opening ceremony and noted that the Forum had become a key platform for engagement of business communities and discussion of relevant economic issues.

Deputy Speaker of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Galina Karelova participated in the plenary session of the Forum on the issue “The 78+ Target: Responding to the Challenges of the Pandemic”. She stressed that the pandemic had set the new vectors of modernization of the healthcare system, including promoting a healthy lifestyle, compliance with sanitary and epidemiological norms and development of prevention methods.

Member of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Chair of the Committee on Economic Policy, Innovative Development and Entrepreneurship Dauren Adilbekov also took part in the events of the Forum.
