Republic of Uzbekistan Joins CIS Regulation of Labor Migration

The Republic of Uzbekistan joined the Protocol Amending the Agreement on Establishment of the CIS Advisory Board on Labor, Migration and Welfare. The relevant decree of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has already been released, according to the CIS Executive Committee.

In accordance with the decree, the Ministry of Employment and Labor Relations of the Republic of Uzbekistan is responsible for the implementation of the Agreement.

The amendments and additions to the Agreement aim to further develop cooperation in the field of labor migration in the CIS. The document is expected to ensure the distribution of powers of the CIS bodies in the field of migration and eliminate duplication of their functions.
