CIS Representatives Discussed New Technologies, Overcoming Staff Shortage and Entering Foreign Markets in Light Industry

Today, the roundtables aimed at finding solutions to the industry’s relevant challenges took place within the framework of the international forum “Commonwealth of Fashion” in the Tavricheskiy Palace.

The event brought together representatives of relevant authorities, representatives of business associations, financiers from the CIS countries and relevant CIS cooperation bodies.

The participants spoke about the development of light industry in their countries, discussed the main aspects of foreign economic activity in the field of light industry in the CIS and the relevant legal framework aimed at supporting entrepreneurs and creating a favorable economic environment.

The roundtables also discussed foreign economic activity in the field of light industry, customs particularities and transport corridors across the Commonwealth, standardization, metrology and certification, logistics and transaction mechanisms in the field of light industry in the CIS.

One roundtable was focused on innovations in light industry and their impact on production processes paying special attention to digital platforms facilitating interaction between enterprises.

The participants also discussed possible use of light industry waste and mineral resources in composite materials and raising the prestige and training of personnel for light industry and fashion industry enterprises.

During the day, the forum also featured exchange of business contacts and online business sessions.
