Delegates of CIS Countries Participate in International Congress of Rural Youth

Young entrepreneurs, community leaders and experts of agro-based industries from the Azerbaijan Republic, the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Tajikistan, the Republic of Uzbekistan and other countries gathered in the capital of the Republic of Tatarstan, the city of Kazan (Russian Federation) to participate in the International Congress of Rural Youth. The Сongress was organized by the Agrarian Youth Association of the Republic of Tatarstan andsupported by the Presidential Grants Foundation, the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs and the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan.
 

The Сongress focuses on studying the best international practices concerning rural territories and young experts will be organized around three tracks: “Youth Entrepreneurship in Rural Areas: Trends, Approaches and Secrets of Success”, “Culture, Identity Preservation and Tourism: Rural Territories as Cultural Growth Drivers” and “Education and Leadership: Unique Rural Opportunities for Developing a Successful Individual”.

Within the Congress, young people will also visit the innovative agro-industrial complex in the village of Mamadysh, visit the traditional farmsteads of the Republic of Tatarstan and take part in the International Youth Festival of Creative Sledges “SunnyFEST”.
 
Executive Secretary of the YIPA CIS Margarita Safarova represents the YIPA CIS at the Congress.
 

The IPA CIS pays great attention to the issues of legal regulation of the agricultural sphere in order to combine efforts to stabilize and ensure sustainable development of agricultural production across the Commonwealth. The youth integration in rural territories development was the main topic of the YIPA CIS retreat meeting, which was also held in Kazan on 31 May 2019. Moreover, the YIPA CIS, together with the IPA CIS Permanent Commission on Agrarian Policy, Natural Resources and Ecology and the IPA CIS Permanent Commission on Practices of State-Building and Local Government co-organized the roundtable “Sustainable Development of Rural Territories”, which was held on 21 November 2019 in the Tavricheskiy Palace.
