Valentina Matvienko Laid Flowers at Monument to Heroic Defenders of Leningrad

On 18 January, solemn mourning ceremonies dedicated to the 80^th anniversary of the breaking of the siege of Leningrad are held in St. Petersburg. Chairperson of the IPA CIS Council, Speaker of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Valentina Matvienko honored the memory of the fallen Leningrad citizens by laying flowers at the Monument to the heroic defenders of the city.

The event was also attended by Secretary General of the IPA CIS Council Dmitriy Kobitskiy.
