Happy New 2026 Year!

Secretary General of the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly Council Dmitriy Kobitskiy congratulated residents of the Commonwealth Member Nations on the New Year:

The year 2025, marked by the 80^th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, reminded us of the enduring value of peace, mutual respect, and unity of our countries.

Thanks to the joint efforts of MPs and experts, we succeeded in advancing important initiatives across a wide range of areas — from ensuring security and digital transformation to the development of creative industries and humanitarian cooperation.

We look to the future with optimism and are preparing for dynamic joint work in 2026. During the New Year holidays, festive lights are lit across the entire Commonwealth, and everyone awaits the magical night with the same sense of excitement and hope. Similar wishes are heard everywhere: that elders be healthy, the younger generation happy, homes filled with warmth, and our countries prosper in peace and harmony.

May each new day strengthen trust between people, friendship among nations, and peace across our shared spaces.
