Outer space uses discussed in St. Petersburg

On 2-3 October, parliamentarians, officials of national air and space agencies, academies of science, leading research institutes, and air and space design bureaus discuss prospects of CIS Convention on Cooperation in Peaceful Exploration and Uses of Outer Space considered at a consultative expert meeting.

The theme of stepping up efforts of CIS Member Nations in peaceful uses of outer space was highlighted at the 38th IPA CIS Plenary Session on 23 November 2012 and became a principal item on the agenda of the Assembly.

The meeting featured messages from Kazakh, Russian and Ukrainian parliamentarians on this subject.
