IPA CIS International Observers will Monitor Presidential Elections in Azerbaijan

Chairperson of the IPA CIS Council, Speaker of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Valentina Matvienko has received a letter from Speaker of the Milli Majlis of the Azerbaijan Republic Sahiba Gafarova, which contains an invitation to the IPA CIS international observers to take part in monitoring the extraordinary presidential elections in Azerbaijan, which are scheduled for 7 February 2024.

The IPA CIS member parliaments will have to delegate representatives to the monitoring group, which will be sent to Azerbaijan for observation.
