Speakers of the parliaments of Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan sign an Agreement on cooperation

Speaker of the Milli Mejlis of the Azerbaijan Republic Oktay Asadov and Speaker of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nurlan Nigmatulin signed an agreement on cooperation launching a new stage of bilateral cooperation.

Under the terms of the Agreement, the sides will share law-making practices and plan regular engagement of appropriate parliamentary commissions, align their positions in parliamentary organizations and promote Turkic cohesion within the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic-Speaking Nations.

Both Speakers expressed the view that the Treaty on Strategic Partnership between the two countries will promote good progress in cooperation.
