Deputy Secretary General of the IPA CIS Council – Plenipotentiary Representative of theNational Assembly of the Republic of Belarus Viktor Kogut held a meeting with students of Saint-Petersburg University of State Fire Service of EMERCOM of Russia. The event was held atthe IPA CIS headquarters – Tavricheskiy Palace.

Viktor Kogut told the students about the history of the Assembly, its activitiesover32 years its existence, the work of its Permanent Commissions and key events.

Plenipotentiary Representative of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus paid a special attention to information about model low-making which is aimed at the legislative convergence of the Commonwealth countries.

The event was also attended by Secretary of the IPA CIS Permanent Commission on Defense and Security issues Alexander Borisov, Secretary of  the Joint Commission at the IPA CIS for the Harmonization of National Laws Related to Security, Countering Emerging Threats and Challenges Stanislav Korostelev and Head of the Theory and History of State and Law Department of the Saint-Petersburg University of State Fire Service of EMERCOM of Russia Stanislav Nemchenko.
