Dmitriy Kobitskiy met with Special Representative of WHO Regional Office for Europe Bahtygul Karriyeva

At the IPA CIS headquarters a meeting was held between Secretary General of the IPA CIS Council Dmitriy Kobitskiy and Special Representative of the WHO Regional Office for Europe Bahtygul Karriyeva.

The parties discussed the holding of the International Conference “The Concept of Common Migration Area of the CIS Member Nations: Common Principles and National Interests,” which will be held as part of the VIII St. Petersburg International Labour Forum on 20 February at the Tavricheskiy Palace.

Dmitriy Kobitskiy noted the effectiveness of long-term cooperation between the IPA CIS and the WHO and the active participation of the Director of WHO Regional Office for Europe Hans Kluge in the events of the Assembly.

According to the Head of the Secretariat, a joint conference of the WHO and the IPA CIS on expanding coverage of health services was held at a high level, since there was a high interest in health issues in the CIS.

The Secretary General expressed gratitude for participation in the preparation of the Model Law on Medical Supplies.

Bahtygul Karriyeva stressed the importance of the issues, in particular those related to drug supply in the Commonwealth countries, medical support for migrant workers and members of their families. The WHO Representative noted the high level of discussions that took place at the Assembly.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Head of the IPA CIS Council Secretariat Alexey Dolzhikov, Head of the Expert and Analytical Department of the IPA CIS Council Secretariat Denis Zhuk and Secretary of the IPA CIS Permanent Commission on Social Policy and Human Rights, Executive Secretary of the IPA CIS Expert Advisory Board on Public Health Evgenia Vladimirova.
