Meeting of Working Group for Preparation of X BRICS Parliamentary Forum Took Place

Deputy Speaker of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Konstantin Kosachev held a meeting of the working group for the preparation of the X BRICS Parliamentary Forum.

Secretary General of the IPA CIS Council Dmitriy Kobitskiy participated in the event.

Konstantin Kosachev informed the meeting participants about the work done since the last meeting of the working group in December 2023 and outlined further steps for the organization of upcoming events.

The Forum’s slogan is “The Role of Parliaments in Strengthening Multilateralism for the Purposes of Fair Global Development and Security”.

As part of the preparations for the event, a meeting of chairs of committees on international affairs of the BRICS parliaments is scheduled for April in Moscow.
