IPA CIS delegation remembers Vasiliy Dokuchayev

IPA CIS delegation arrived at the Smolenskoye Lutheran cemetery in SPB to remember a great scholar of geology, explorer and the founding father of the Russian scientific tradition of soils research Vasiliy Dokuchayev. The initiator of the event was the Chairman of the IPA CIS PC on Science and Education Ivan Kirilinko. The ceremony was witnessed by the Under SecGen of the IPA CIS COUNCIL Secretariat Alexey Dolzhikov.

Vassiliy Dokuchayev was the teacher to the great Vernadskiy, another outstanding world-class naturalist end philosopher. Vasiliy Dokuchayev died in 1903.
