IPA CIS officials awarded medals of distinction

On 25 October, the Tavricheskiy Palace was a venue for awarding medals of civil distinction For Honor and Leadership. The occasion was chosen to mark the 94th birthday anniversary of the outstanding Russian engineering genius Mihail Kalashnikov, the celebrated creator of the Kalashnikov machine gun. A range of CIS political and civil figures, among them IPA CIS officers, were on the award list this year: Secretary General of the IPA CIS Council and Chief Executive Officer of the Secretariat Alexey Sergeev, Deputy Secretary General of the IPA CIS Council and Resident Representative of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia Hayk Chilingarian, Deputy Secretary General of the IPA CIS Council and Resident Representative of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus Dmitriy Shilo, Deputy Secretary General of the IPA CIS Council and Resident Representative of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Republic of Kirgizstan Nurbek Satvaldiev, Deputy Secretary General of the IPA CIS Council and Resident Representative of Parliament of the Republic of Moldova Ion Lipchiu.
