Days of Moldova in St. Petersburg Conclude With Signing of Inter-Regional Protocols of Intent

Days of the Republic of Moldova, dated to the 31st Anniversary of the State Flag and Emblem of the Republic, were held in St. Petersburg from 25 to 30 April..

On 29 April, Governor of St. Petersburg Alexander Beglov and Mayor General of Chisinau Ion Ceban signed a Cooperation Roadmap Between the Government of St. Petersburg and the Municipal Council of Chisinau in Trade, Economic, Scientific, Technical and Cultural Areas for 2021–2024. A cooperation agreement was also signed between the administration of the Moskovskiy district of St. Petersburg and the administration of the Botanica district of Chisinau.

On 30 April, the events continued in the Tavricheskiy Palace, where an exhibition of paintings by artists from Moldova working in St. Petersburg was launched.

Secretary General – Head of the IPA CIS Council Secretariat Dmitriy Kobitskiy held a meeting with Deputy Speaker of the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova Vladimir Vityuk, Member of Parliament Violetta Ivanov and Mayor of Orhei Pavel Verejanu and discussed the prospects of inter-parliamentary cooperation.

Dmitriy Kobitskiy noted the great contribution of the Republic of Moldova to the inter-parliamentary cooperation of the CIS Member Nations. “It is hard to overestimate the participation of Moldova in the activities of the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly. It is one of the most active participants both in the field of model law-making and holding significant IPA CIS events”, said the Secretary General.

Dmitriy Kobitsky presented the medal “For Strengthening Parliamentary Cooperation” to Plenipotentiary Representative of the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova at the IPA CIS Ion Lipciu.
