Meeting of Women 20 and Presentation of BRICS Womens Business Alliance to Take Place Within Eurasian Womens Forum

Today, Deputy Speaker of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, Chairperson of the Council of the Eurasian Women’s Forum Galina Karelova told that the business program of the upcoming Forum is full of events that will be of great interest to women entrepreneurs. In particular, a meeting of the Women 20 and a presentation of the BRICS Women’s Business Alliance will take place. It is also expected to launch a new format of the international association of women entrepreneurs – the International Club of Winners of the APEC International Competition of Women Entrepreneurs’ Projects.
Moreover, the three-day Forum will sum up the results of the presentations of women’s initiatives for the development of territories, a contest for women innovators and women’s technological and environmental startups, scientific and practical seminars, open dialogues, and a contest among employers promoting women’s leadership programs.
The press service of the Federation Council reports that, according to Galina Karelova, much attention will be paid to the impact of digitalization on business, increased participation of women in the creative economy, the need to increase the availability of new financial technologies, etc. Discussions on these topics will be held with the participation of experts from the World Bank, the APEC, and the BRICS.
“We are confident that the Forum will outline measures and areas of cooperation that can become as priority issues in the agendas of both national and international associations and organizations and, at the same time, will help women entrepreneurs build optimal financial and marketing strategies, find new development niches for,” said Galina Karelova.
The first and the second Eurasian Women’s Forums were held in the Tavricheskiy Palace – the headquarters of the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly – in 2015 and 2018. The third Forum will be held in person on 13-15 October 2021 and will focus on the global mission of women in a new reality.
