Parliament of Kazakhstan has Approved Draft Law to Suppress Use of False Trademarks in CIS

On 8 June, a plenary session of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan was held. The parliamentarians review and approved the Law on the ratification of the Agreement on Cooperation Between the CIS Member States to Prevent and Suppress the Use of False Trademarks and Geographical Indications.

The agreement provides for joint activities to exchange information on the revealed facts of production and sale of goods with false trademarks and geographical indications, training and advanced training of personnel in the field of protection and enforcement of intellectual property rights.
