Dmitriy Kobitskiy and Alexey Borodin Discussed Cooperation in Field of Communications

Secretary General of the IPA CIS Council Dmitriy Kobitskiy and General Director of the Executive Committee of the Regional Commonwealth in the Field of Communications Alexei Borodin met at the Tavrichesky Palace.

The sides discussed issues of cooperation and other promising areas within the framework of the Expert Advisory Board of the IPA CIS and the Regional Commonwealth in the Field of Communications.

Dmitriy Kobitskiy congratulated Alexey Borodin on his election as the head of the RCC Executive Committee, an international structure coordinating the activities of communications administrations, operators and other organizations in the same field.

The Secretary General emphasized that cooperation between the IPA CIS and the RCC has been going on for more than 20 years. All this time, Expert Advisory Board of the IPA CIS and the RCC, which brings together Mps and experts in the field of information and communication technologies and information law, has been providing effective assistance to the Commonwealth legislators in the development of model laws and other documents.

The common task is to harmonize national legal systems in the field of digital development, information and communication technologies.

Alexey Borodin stressed that development and reinforcement of cooperation with CIS institutions, strengthening the authority of the organization in the international direction were considered as priorities in his work. He also pointed out that the experience of the IPA CIS normative law-making has a great value.
