Preparations for Third Forum Commonwealth of Fashion are Continuing

Secretary General of the IPA CIS Council Dmitriy Kobitskiy and Deputy Chair of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Inna Svyatenko discussed the progress of preparations for the third International Fashion Forum to be held in the autumn of 2024 at the headquarters of the IPA CIS - the Tavricheskiy Palace.

The meeting took place online. On the agenda there was the formation of a working group to hold the forum, the development of a business program and interaction with manufacturing, educational and museum organizations.

The Forum “Commonwealth of Fashion” brings together representatives of the light and creative industries, relevant ministries and departments, professional associations, legislators and experts on a single platform.

The first event took place in 2022 and generated significant interest among industry representatives. In 2023, the scale of the forum, organized by the Interparliamentary Assembly of the CIS with the support of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Culture, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment of the Russian Federation, as well as the Eurasian Women's Forum, increased.

More than 1000 people participated in the ”Commonwealth of Fashion”. The main topics for discussion were the prospects for the development of light industry in the region in the era of global change, opportunities for international cooperation, issues of raw materials supply and others.

During the forum, two fashion shows took place: experts were presented with collections from well-known and promising designers from various regions of Russia and creations made by recognized masters from Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan.
