Delegates from the Slovak Parliament visit the Tavricheskiy Palace

The delegation, notably comprised of women only, was headed by Vice-President of the National Council of the Slovak Republic Jana Lašakova. Augustin Cisar, Consul General of the Slovak Republic in St. Petersburg, was also attending the meeting. The guests took a guided tour of the inaugural halls of the Tavricheskiy Palace. Recently renovated, the Doumskiy Hall greatly impressed the visitors. After the tour, the parliamentarians met with IPA CIS SG Alexey Sergeev and his deputies Alexey Dolzhikov and Sergey Kourdin.

Alexey Sergeev told the guests about the IPA CIS and its activities, including the Young IPA CIS initiative. The parties talked about prospects of friendly ties between the IPA CIS and the Slovak Parliament. On behalf of IPA CIS Council Chairperson Valentina Matvienko, IPA CIS SG invited Pavol Paška, President of the Slovak Parliament, to attend the 39th IPA CIS Plenary Session to be held on 29 November 2013.
