Valentina Matvienko: Discussion of Issues Raised at SCO Forum to Continue at Eurasian Women’s Forum

Speaker of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, Chairperson of the IPA CIS Council Valentina Matvienko delivered a video message at the Forum of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) on Education and Poverty Reduction among Women.

The event was held in Beijing on the 20^th anniversary of the SCO. The Forum was organized by the All-China Women’s Federation.

The Speaker of the Federation Council noted that the COVID-19 pandemic aggravated the position of women in many countries and told about the measures taken in Russia to avoid a large-scale crisis.

The IPA CIS Council Chairperson also recalled the forthcoming Third Eurasian Women’s Forum that will continue discussing the women’s agenda raised at the SCO Forum.
