The agreement is aimed at implementing coordinated measures to prevent infectious diseases, including particularly dangerous ones, and emergencies. In the new Agreement the list of diseases has been increased from 18 to 24 and harmonized with international medical and sanitary standards.

The expected results of the adoption of the Law are the expansion of cooperation and interaction in carrying out sanitary and preventive measures on sanitary protection of the CIS countries, aimed at preventing the spread of infectious diseases that can cause emergencies in the health protection system.

During the meeting the Law on Ratification of the Protocol on the Termination of the Agreement on Mutual Safeguarding of Interstate Secrets in the Field of Legal Protection of Inventions dated 4 June 1999, was considered and approved. In accordance with the Protocol, in view of the irrelevance of the issue, the CIS countries cease to ensure the secrecy of inventions of the USSR times.
